Abstract Background Quantitative modeling of the self-assembly of DNA tiles leading either to defined end-products or distribution of biopolymers is of practical importance for biotechnology and synthetic biology. Methods The combinatorial process describing tile assembly was implemented into a generic algorithm allowing quantitative description of the population of significant species accumulating during the reaction course. Experimental formation and characterization by optical and electrophoresis approaches of copolymers resulting from the self-assembly of a limited number of half-complementary tiles were used to define and validate generic rules allowing definition of model parameters. …

La presente investigación tiene como finalidad describir cómo la ciudadanía ha contribuido a la elaboración de un Diagnóstico Territorial de Empleo (DET) promovido por la Generalitat Valenciana, previo al diseño de futuras políticas públicas para el fomento del empleo, en tres municipios alicantinos. Se consiguió a través de una Investigación-Acción-Participación (IAP). Sketcching sonic interactions

This chapter provides an overview of methods and practices for sketching sound in interactive contexts. The chapter stresses the role and importance of producing and interacting with provisional sound representations in conceptual sound design. The cognitive benefits of embodied sound sketching are discussed and outlined by means of practical examples and basic exercises. In particular, vocalizations and gestures are proposed as primary cognitive artifacts available to sound designers to enact sonic impressions and displays, cooperatively.
